Description

Lost on Venus is a fantasy book by American author Edgar Rice Burroughs, first published in 1935. It is the second book in the Venus series (also called the Amtor series), that consists of five novels in total. The book was initially serialised in the pulp magazine Argosy, and the events in it occur on the plant Venus (known to it's inhabitants as Amtor). Having won the love of the beautiful princess of Vepaja, Duare, in the previous novel, the hero of the books Carson Napier finds himself having to rescue her after she gets kidnapped. His adventures take him through the streets of the City of the Dead, into the terrifying Room of the Seven Doors, and face to face with the strange and dangerous creatures that inhabit the planet.
