Description

This is Emanuel Swedenborg's exposition of the Athanasian Creed - a Christian statement of belief focused on Trinitarian doctrine and Christology. Used by Christian churches since the early sixth century, it was the first creed to explicitly state the equality of the three hypostases of the Trinity. It differs from the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed and the Apostles' Creed in that it includes anathemas condemning those who disagree with its statements (as does the original Nicene Creed).

This book has 20,082 words, 28 pages in the PDF version, and was originally published in 1759. This translation by Samuel H. Worcester was originally published in 1855.

Production notes: This ebook of Athanasian Creed was published by Global Grey in 2018, and updated on the 30th December 2023. The artwork used for the cover is 'Icon of St. Athanasius of Alexandria' by an unknown artist.
