Description

Elissa is a book by H. Rider Haggard, first published in 1900. It consists of two stories, 'Elissa; or The Doom of Zimbabwe', and, 'Black Heart and White Heart: A Zulu Idyll', the latter is the sixteenth book in the Allan Quatermain series. Black Heart and White Heart: A Zulu Idyll is an African adventure featuring Philip Hadden, an unsavory character, who finds himself in Zululand near the outbreak of war. Elissa; or The Doom of Zimbabwe tells the story of Prince Aziel, grandson of Solomon himself, who goes to Zimbabwe and meets the soul mate of his life: Elissa, daughter of Sakon, the governor of the city.
