Available in PDF, epub, and Kindle ebook. This book has 71 pages in the PDF version, and was originally published in 1882; this is a translation by Louise and Aylmer Maude.
This short work was originally titled An Introduction to a Criticism of Dogmatic Theology. It is a brief autobiographical story of the author's struggle with a mid-life existential crisis, and describes his search for the answer to the ultimate philosophical question: If God does not exist, since death is inevitable, what is the meaning of life?
Last week about 25,000 people downloaded from the site, and 5 people donated. I run this site entirely on my own - I want to be able to continue offering these books for free, but need some support to do that. If you can, please make a small donation - any amount is appreciated. Thank you! You can also support the site by buying a collection, such as the Politics, Society, Science, and Philosophy one, with 70 ebooks for only £4.00
