Collected Poems
Description
This is the collected poems of Christina Rossetti. The book contains 229 of her poems, including The Goblin Market, Up-hill, The Convent Threshold, Maude Clare, and, In the Round Tower at Jhansi, 8 June 1857.
Rossetti (1830–1894) was one of the most important English poets of the Victorian era, known for her lyrical style, emotional depth, and themes of love, faith, loss, and spiritual reflection. Born in London into a remarkably artistic family, she was the sister of painter and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti and was closely associated with the circle around the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, though her poetry developed its own distinctive voice.
Today, Christina Rossetti is regarded as one of the finest poets of the nineteenth century. Her work ranges from mystical religious verse to vivid narrative poems and delicate love lyrics, and her clear, musical style has ensured that her poetry continues to be widely read and admired.
This edition is made up from two of Rossetti's book - Poems (1906), and Goblin Market, The Prince's Progress, and Other Poems (1913)
