Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc is a historical novel by Mark Twain, published in 1896. It recounts the life of Joan of Arc, and is divided into three sections according to Joan of Arc's development: a youth in Domrémy, a commander of the army of Charles VII of France, and a defendant at trial in Rouen. Twain saw this as his best book. Whilst completely anti-Catholic, he had previously developed a fascination with Joan of Arc in the early 1850s.
