Description

Hunting the Grisly and Other Sketches: An Account of the Big Game of the United States and its Chase with Horse Hound, and Rifle, is a book by former American president Theodore Roosevelt. It is the second part of his two-volume 'The Wilderness Hunter' which was first published in 1893. The book recounts the author's North-American hunting adventures, and relates the daring exploits of going up against North America's most cunning creatures. The tales told here describe men disastrously getting caught in the traps they set, wolves overcoming one dog only to succumb to the pack, and horses escaping the wrath of the great grizzly.

This book has 62,628 words, 86 pages in the PDF version, and was originally published in 1893. This text was prepared from a 1902 edition.
