Description

General Book of the Tarot is a book by A. E. Thierens, first published in 1930. This book was one of the first to try to match the Tarot cards with astrology (it was reprinted in 1975 under the title 'Astrology of the Tarot'). Beginning with a theoretical section, it then discusses each card, and gives a comparison of characteristics attributed to them by some of the previous writers such as Arthur Edward Waite and Papus. The book takes us through the Greater Arcana and the Lesser Arcana, and although images were not part of the original book, illustrations of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck are included in this edition to make the references clearer.

№ 8 in 20 Most Popular Occult Books.

This book has 40,469 words, 180 pages in the PDF version, and was originally published in 1930.
